Dr. Catlett
Dr. Joseph N. Catlett, Jr. is a native of Fayetteville and has practiced here since 1992.
He is a graduate of Cape Fear High School, Brigham Young University, and the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While attending UNC
he received several honors and recognitions including: Induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental
Honor Fraternity, UNC Senior Dental Student Award, International College of Dentistry Senior Dental Award,
and the Academy of General Dentistry Award. He formerly was a part-time member of the faculty of UNC School
of Dentistry where he worked in the Department of Dental Ecology. Dr. Catlett is a member of the American
Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Catlett is very active in his church and community affairs, not to mention his growing family.
He is married to Marie Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada and they have been blessed with five children—Sean (15),
Christine and Cory (twin girls-14), Brady (11), and Joseph (8). His interests outside of dentistry include
golf, hunting and fishing, riding one of his three horses, and playing with the family’s newest addition,
their Golden Retriever puppy, Chloe.

Dr. Viau
Dr. Kelly Viau is the newest addition to Catlett Family Dentistry.
Dr. Kelly Frye Viau, D.D.S. had practiced dentistry for three years after graduating from the Medical College
of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia with
a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She spent two years as a practicing registered nurse before pursuing her
education in dentistry.
After receiving her Doctors Degree in Dental Surgery, Dr. Viau spent three years in the United States Air
Force providing comprehensive dental care to our nation’s troops. Her first assignment was in San Francisco,
California where she did residency training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She spent the last
two years at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey serving over 5000 Air Force and Army troops.
Dr. Viau lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband of 8 years, Kevin, and their two-year old son, Jacob.
As outdoor enthusiasts, they spend much of their time gardening and hiking.
